Projects - Friends of the Budapest Jewish Cemetery
Clear and restore access to sections that are almost impenetrable. Perform ongoing maintenance on these sections to ensure they remain clear. The mission was to restore this memorial garden to its originally intended beauty. This sacred ground bears witness to the enormous contribution of Jewish Hungarians across all walks of life.
The Budapest Jewish Cemetery at Kozma Street was established in 1891 as a majestic, green architectural and historical landmark that served as the final resting place of many national figures who helped to make Hungary what it is today.
